Focus of the Role As a Network Software Engineer, you’ll develop, maintain and support telecom service applications and microservices within a cloud-based environment. You’ll work across the software delivery lifecycle, from solution development and deployment through to production monitoring, incident resolution and ongoing performance improvement. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.

- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable application deployments.

- Deploy and support applications across AWS cloud environments.

- Monitor production systems and perform log analysis using Splunk.

- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.

- Support application release, change and deployment activities.

- Improve system reliability, performance and operational efficiency through automation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.

- Maintain appropriate technical documentation and support testing and quality assurance activities. Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Microservices development

- DevOps engineering and CI/CD pipeline design and management

- AWS services including ECS, EC2, S3, Auto Scaling and Parameter Store

- Splunk monitoring and log analysis

- Production support, troubleshooting and incident management

- GitLab and Bamboo

- Application deployment and release management

- Infrastructure and deployment automation

- API integration and service orchestration

- Performance monitoring and optimisation

- Cloud security and vulnerability management Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong experience developing and supporting Java-based microservices in cloud environments.

- Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

- Experience supporting production applications, including incident investigation and root cause analysis.

- Good understanding of application reliability, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

- Experience working within Agile/Scrum engineering teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across development and operational activities.

- Exposure to testing practices and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

- Telecom domain knowledge, particularly Broadband, Voice or Service Provisioning , would be advantageous.
