Job Title: Lead Software Engineer – DevSecOps

Purpose of the Role

We build and contribute to engineering excellence in Fidelity’s platform engineering team. As a Lead Software engineer, you will help teams in improving the overall engineering excellence of the applications by enabling DevOps practices with Security . You’ll work on building compelling user interface applications that enables end to end capabilities as part of our autonomous, cross functional teams. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to building solutions on-prem and also cloud that helps applications to deliver with quality and agility. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.

- Stay on top of Algorithms, Data Structures and Design Patterns and love the challenge of building highly scalable systems that can support thousands of transactions/sec.

- Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.

- Have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in meaningful discussions.

- Work with global teams spread across locations in US, India and China.

The Skills That Are key to This Role Technical

- Good knowledge in the Jenkins and establishing CI/CD pipelines

- Good knowledge of HTTP based APIs, Networking and how the internet works.

- Knowledge in tools like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, Concourse and Cloud.

- Working experience in AWS lambdas, ECS, EKS, S3 and Cloud formation

- Experience in AWS Database technologies is a plus

- Knowledge in infrastructure as code tools like – terraform,

- Working experience in at least one programming language – Java/Python

- Good knowledge in automation, scripting & monitoring.

- Full stack engineer with experience in Java, Python

- Understanding of API Design & Development, MicroServices Architecture · DevOps, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery · AWS Cloud certification, Kubernetes, Docker Certification will be a plus

Expertise We are looking Fo r

- 6-8 plus years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years in development

- At least 2-3 years of experience working in Agile Scrum model

- Experience in CI/CD pipeline configuration would be advantage

- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field

- Having Technical Certifications in Java or AWS would be an advantage

- The ability to code in more than one programming language and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications. We believe in applying the right technology depending on the challenge and are always exploring new technologies to continually provide value to our customers.

- Apply innovate tools and methods to enable efficiency, performance and agility through automating DevOps processes, continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

- Ability to build and deliver products with product owner approach.

- Ability to blend development with testing by participating in quality efforts. We consider software quality is ensured through prevention rather than detection.

- Owns the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
