This leader will be accountable for building and scaling secure, resilient, compliant, and reusable platform capabilities that enable Mastercard teams to activate consumer data responsibly and deliver personalized, trusted experiences across channels.
Role Engineering Strategy & Platform Modernization • Define and execute the CDM engineering strategy, evolving identity, consent, consumer data, and engagement services from point solutions into a cohesive, scalable, reusable enterprise platform. • Establish architectural direction, engineering standards, and platform guardrails that improve scalability, reliability, security, developer experience, speed of delivery, and reuse. • Partner with product, architecture, data, security, privacy, and regional stakeholders to translate business priorities into executable engineering roadmaps with KPIs tied to adoption, resilience, quality, cost efficiency, and platform value.
Architecture, Delivery & Operational Excellence • Own end-to-end engineering execution across CDM services, including design, development, testing, release management, production readiness, and ongoing operational support. • Ensure CDM platforms are architected and operated for high availability, performance, observability, disaster recovery, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and SLA commitments. • Strengthen engineering practices across API design, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, data governance, automation, CI/CD, quality engineering, incident management, and vulnerability planning/remediation. • Lead technical engagement with internal platform consumers, regional teams, enterprise architecture, risk, compliance, and third-party providers to manage dependencies, adoption, service quality, and reliable delivery. • Embed privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles across identity, consent, messaging, and consumer data capabilities while building a culture of engineering accountability, operational discipline, and proactive risk management.
All About You Engineering Leadership & Domain Expertise • Extensive experience leading large-scale software engineering organizations, with proven VP/Director+ leadership of distributed, global teams and mission-critical platforms. • Deep technical understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, event-driven architecture, cloud-native engineering, identity systems, consent management, secure consumer data platforms, and third-party platform integrations. • Experience operating platforms that require strong privacy, security, compliance, vulnerability management, resilience, observability, SLA management, and production support disciplines. • Desirable: experience with customer data platforms, identity resolution, consent and preference management, omnichannel messaging, or engagement platforms such as SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, email, and emerging channels. Technical Strategy & Execution • Ability to translate business, regulatory, and platform strategy into clear engineering priorities, architecture decisions, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes. • Strong judgment in balancing modernization, feature delivery, technical debt, platform reuse, control requirements, operational risk, cost pressure, and SLA commitments. • Experience improving engineering maturity through automation, quality practices, developer productivity, reusable frameworks, technical governance, operational metrics, and familiarity with agentic AI-powered PDLC/SDLC practices. Leadership & Influence • Proven ability to lead in highly matrixed, global organizations while building alignment across engineering, product, architecture, security, privacy, compliance, operations, business stakeholders, and third-party providers. • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate technology strategy, risks, trade-offs, delivery progress, cost implications, and SLA impacts clearly to senior leaders and internal customers, including under pressure. • Demonstrated success hiring, developing, mentoring, and retaining senior engineering talent while aligning teams around shared outcomes, quality, resilience, security, customer impact, and continuous improvement.
