Job Description We are seeking an experienced and visionary Integration Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions across our enterprise. This role requires deep expertise in middleware technologies, RESTful API design and management, and a strong background in business process automation using Camunda BPM. You will play a crucial role in shaping our integration strategy, ensuring seamless data exchange, and driving the efficiency of our business processes. Key Responsibilities As an Integration Architect, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Integration Strategy & Architecture: Define and evolve the enterprise integration strategy, patterns, and standards.Design end-to-end integration solutions that connect diverse systems, applications, and data sources, both on-premise and in the cloud.Create detailed technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and documentation for integration solutions.
- Middleware Management: Select, implement, and manage various middleware technologies such as Enterprise Service Buses (ESB), message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and API Gateways.Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of all integration middleware components.
- REST API Design & Development: Lead the design and development of robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs following industry best practices.Define API standards, governance, and lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger), and testing.Implement API security mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).
- Workflow Automation with Camunda: Architect, design, and implement complex business processes and workflows using Camunda BPM (BPMN, DMN).Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient and automated workflows.Develop and manage process models, user tasks, and integrations with external systems within the Camunda ecosystem.
- Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams on integration best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural principles and quality standards.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with product managers, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Performance, Scalability & Security: Ensure integration solutions are designed for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.Identify and mitigate risks associated with integration architecture.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.Continuously seek opportunities to optimize existing integration processes and technologies. Required Skills & Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess the following: Technical Skills:
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5+ years specifically in an Integration Architect or similar senior role.
- Integration Platforms/Middleware: Extensive experience with Enterprise Service Buses (ESB) and Message Queues (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).Proficiency with API Gateway solutions (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway).Strong understanding of integration patterns (e.g., publish-subscribe, request-response, choreography, orchestration).
- API Technologies: Expertise in designing, developing, and managing RESTful APIs.Deep understanding of API security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Workflow & BPM:Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience with Camunda BPM (BPMN, DMN) for workflow automation and process orchestration.Experience with Camunda Platform 7 and/or 8 is highly desirable.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language relevant to integration development (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js).
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with integration services on major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, AWS Integration, Google Cloud Integration).
- Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) for automated deployment of integration components.Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Data Formats: Expertise in data formats like JSON, XML, Avro.
