Essential Functions
Project Management
- Lead and manage all phases of competitive intelligence projects, including initial setup, data gathering, analysis, and strategic synthesis
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, building strong and enduring relationships based on trust
- Lead the design and facilitation of client workshops when included in project deliverables
- Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on scope and in a way that exceeds client expectations
- Organize work and manage timelines across assigned clients, projects, and deliverables
- Monitor project budgets against revenue targets and support achievement of Competitive Intelligence Center of Excellence (COE) goals
- Partner with CI and cross-functional leadership to align work streams and ensure continuity between CI offerings and other Trinity engagements
Insight Generation
- Drive analysis and storyline development, articulating the “so what” for clients
- Present competitive intelligence findings to clients compellingly, facilitating discussion on how to best position their products for success
- Cover key medical and industry conferences, attending priority sessions and conducting high-quality human-source research in line with legal, compliance, and SCIP ethical standards
People Management
- Train and manage junior staff across projects, including CI team members and cross-functional staff supporting CI
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CI methodology and best practices, upskilling team members across Trinity
Business Development
- Collaborate with Commercial Strategy client teams to identify opportunities and manage follow-ups
- Identify expansion opportunities with existing clients
- Support proposal development and competitive intelligence program design
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, consulting, or related roles within the life sciences industry. Skills and Attributes:
- Proven ability to lead and develop junior staff and communicate confidently with senior client and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development, and global healthcare systems
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including data visualization and slide development; familiarity with CI sources and relational databases is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic synthesis skills, with solid business acumen
- A curious, entrepreneurial mindset—always asking what’s next and challenging assumptions about the competitive landscape
