About this role: Gartner is searching for an India-based Principal Analyst to join our global Invest Practice, serving our Venture Capital, Private Equity, Public Equity, and Investment Banking clients withing our Emerging Technology research group. Operating as a critical engine in Gartner’s 24/7 "follow-the-sun" model (NY–London–India), you will track daily investment activities, decode early-stage tech innovations, and rapidly synthesize Gartner's proprietary research into tailored, high-impact deliverables for Invest Analysts and sales-led initiatives. This individual will work on a wide range of written deliverables. The specialist must be interested in all types of technology innovation and combine strong business and financial acumen with an agile mindset: immersing yourself in one technology trend today, and seamlessly pivoting to the next to match the market's relentless pace. This role is a key feeder to careers reaching the highest levels of Gartner.
What you will do: ▪ Track Daily Invest Activity & Enable Follow-the-Sun Suppor t: Monitor global financial and market developments daily across Venture Capital, Private Equity, Public Equity, and Investment Banking to support Gartner’s 24/7 global delivery model (NY–London–India). ▪ Curate & Customize Content for Invest Analysts : Translate and tailor Gartner’s technology research, market data, and insights into high-impact, actionable deliverables as well as lead author publications tailored specifically for Invest Analysts and clients. ▪ Fuel Sales-Led & Timely Content Creation : Leverage business and economic acumen to rapidly identify relevant and timely published research for Invest clients that support sales initiatives. ▪ Partner Across Global Stakeholder Teams : Collaborate seamlessly with core Invest analyst team and leadership to ensure timely delivery.

Unlike traditional buy-side/sell-side finance, investment banking, or management consulting, our strategic research positions do not depend on deal sourcing or business development targets. Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree (Business, Economics, Finance, MBA, or Technology-related field) or PhD preferred.
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in market research, equity/investment research (highly preferred), corporate strategy, or management consulting within the technology or financial services sectors.
- Methodology: Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data synthesis, and insight generation.
- Domain Knowledge: General understanding of financial markets, investment lifecycles, and emerging technology ecosystems.
