Job Summary Synechron is seeking a Technical Architect – Java to design scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications for the banking and financial services domain. The role will provide architecture direction, guide engineering teams, and align technology solutions with business objectives. Software Requirements Required

- Define technical architecture and solution designs for Java applications.

- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable microservices.

- Establish reusable frameworks, coding standards, and design patterns.

- Review technical designs, code, integrations, and performance.

- Guide development teams and mentor engineers.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership.

- Identify and resolve architecture, security, scalability, and performance risks.

- Support architecture governance and continuous technical improvement. Technical Skills (By Category)

- Programming: Java 11+, object-oriented programming, concurrency, design patterns — Essential ; Kotlin, Groovy, or Python — Preferred .

- Databases: SQL, relational databases, data modeling, transactions, and query optimization — Essential ; NoSQL and caching — Preferred .

- Cloud: Cloud architecture, scalability, resilience, and security — Essential ; containers and orchestration — Preferred .

- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC/WebFlux, Spring Data, REST, and microservices — Essential ; Spring Security and messaging frameworks — Preferred .

- Tools and Methods: Git, Maven/Gradle, testing, Agile, CI/CD, code reviews, and technical documentation — Essential .

- Security: Secure coding, authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, encryption, and data protection — Essential . Experience Requirements

- 12+ years of experience in Java development, solution architecture, or technical architecture.

- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, integration, and performance optimization.

- Mandatory experience in the banking or financial services domain.

- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.

- Equivalent experience gained through progressive architecture and enterprise delivery roles may be considered. Day-to-Day Activities

- Create architecture and technical design documents.

- Lead design discussions and technical reviews.

- Support development teams during implementation.

- Review solutions for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.

- Participate in architecture forums, planning sessions, and risk reviews.

- Recommend technology choices and manage technical dependencies.

- Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices. Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

- Java, cloud, architecture, or security certifications are preferred.

- Ongoing learning in Java, distributed systems, cloud, security, and architecture is expected.

- Ability to work from the Chennai office five days per week. Professional Competencies
