Job Description

Your Role: The Sr Analyst, Business Partner-Institutional Sales sits in the Invesco’s Distribution Intelligence team which is working across Invesco’s retail and institutional businesses in the Americas.  Reporting to the Manager, this role will help enable surgical insights and timely decision making, leading to increased sales of Invesco products/strategies. While providing business and analytical support to the Institutional Sales team is the primary objective, the analyst will also be working in tandem with the Marketing Business Partner team to help drive change in how we go to market and optimize our sales and marketing efforts. In addition to working with our distribution and marketing partners, the individual will also work with the product team, strategy team, technology team, and data governance office to execute the analytics roadmap and should:

- Be comfortable working with data to drive better business results (working with financial transaction data is a plus)

- Demonstrate an ability to use data and analytics to influence decision making

- Have an inquisitive and innovative mindset with problem solving acumen

- Have hands-on experience in consulting type role including problem identification, solution development and successful implementation Your Team: Distribution Intelligence team is responsible for increasing data driven decision making at Invesco. The group works mostly with the Americas Distribution and Marketing teams to help increase net sales through a better understanding of our clients (Institutional firms). It works like a small startup within the organization, with a clear focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data, analytics, visualization and in-field implementation.

Key Responsibilities / Duties : ·     Analyze Institutional sales data to identify trends,client behaviour and performance metrics ·     Leverage eVestment for client profiling and analyzing institutional investment trends ·     Develop and maintain interactive Tableau and Power BI dashboards to visualize key metrics, client segments and sales performance ·     Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from Snowflake and other data warehouses ·     Support Institutional sales teams by providing insights and customized analysis for client meetings, presentations and strategic reviews ·     Collaborate with cross functional teams including client portfolio managers, sales professionals and marketing to align data insights with strategic goals ·     Employ data and analytics to sharpen our client targeting, identify relevant products and optimize the sales processes ·     Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and data analytics team in all phases of projects ·     Project manage the solution design and implementation process Data Management: ·     Help build out the data validation and business user acceptance testing capabilities required to support customer centric analytics and visualization ·     Partner with the Data Engineer and Data Science team to optimize the cloud based AWS / Redshift environment in order to support BAU activities ·     Collaborate with business subject matter experts and IT teams on projects as needed

Work Experience / Knowledge:

·     3+ years of hands-on experience developing and applying data analytics preferably in Asset management or investment consulting ·     Hands on experience with eVestment for client analysis and insights ·     Familiarity with Factset and its data capabilities ·     Strong technical competence: o  Proficiency in tableau and PowerBI for data visualization o  Strong SQL skills, with experience working in Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses o  Good understanding of data manipulation and transformation techniques o  Experience with data pipelines and ETL tools o  Familiarity with CRM and Sales performance systems (e.g., Salesforce) o  Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation o  Strong knowledge of data management tools o  Advanced programming skills

- Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong communication and presentation skills,with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non technical audiences

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fact paced,data driven environment

- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation

Formal Education:

- Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative or Finance discipline (i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science) with focus on data analytics techniques

- Strong academic qualifications, including advanced understanding/coursework in database management
